This subspecies is endemic to the peninsula of Azuero in Panama. The Azuero howler has to be distinguished primarily by its golden flanks and loins, and brown glow on the rest of her body. Although generally considered a subspecies of A. coibensis, there is some debate within the scientific community, whether it is a valid species coibensis A.. Product DescriptionPurchase includes free access to updates online and book a free trial membership in publishing book club, where you from more than a million pounds can choose free. Abstract: The Central American Squirrel Monkey (Saimiri oerstedii) is a squirrel monkey species from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and Panama. It is restricted to the northwestern tip of Panama near the border with Costa Rica, and the central and southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, especially in Manuel Antonio and Corcovado National Park. It is a little monkey with an orange back and a distinctive white and black face mask. It is an omnivorous diet, eating fruits, other plant matter, invertebrates and some small vertebrates. In return, it has a number of enemies, including birds of prey, cats and snakes. It lives in large groups, usually contain 20-75 monkeys. It is one of egalitarian social structures of all monkeys. Women do not form dominance hierarchies and women do so only in breeding season. Women are sexually mature at 2 ½ years, males and 4-5 years. Sexually mature females leave the group Natal, but men can stay with their group Natal her whole life. The Central American Squirrel Monkey can live for more than 15 years. The Central American Squirrel Monkey population declined dramatically since the 1970s. This decrease is probably caused by deforestation, hunting, capture and kept as pets. Efforts are underway to get the kind. Despite the threats to the Central American Squirrel Monkey population, in 2008 the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) upgraded his condition from “endangered” to “endangered”. The Central American Squirrel Monkey is different in color from South American squirrel monkeys. While South American squirrel monkeys tend to be mainly green in color, the Central American species orange back with olive trees, shoulders, hips. . . More: http://booksllc. NET /? id = 3242143
